Watercress - great in salads, sandwiches and soup. It does not need running water to grow in but needs to be kept wet. For a more permanent bed you might consider lining an area with polythene before filling up with compost - thus creating a bog area. Sow in April and once germinated grow on outdoors. Pick regularly to avoid flowering. Seed saved by Karen Kildegaard
