A new variety which can grow to 2 metres. A distant cousin of spinach and a relative of amaranth and quinoa, this plant is highly ornamental and great for edible landscaping. The edible arrow-shaped leaves are a lovely fuchsia color. Prepare as spinach — young leaves raw in salads and cook the mature leaves. The flavour is sharp with subtle salty overtones. Since it can handle heat, you can harvest long after spinach is done. These seeds come with the papery layer on their seeds and plant them that way.
