This vigorous climbing French bean was originally a commercial variety grown in the city of Rouen in the 1950’s. It grows at least 2m tall and the long green pods are slightly striped with red. Eat when young and tender or grow on to maturity for dried winter pulses. HSL seed donated by Joan Powell.
