Nonna Agnes Blue (also known as San Bernardo) is a variety of climbing bean from Italy. The beans can be used as dry beans or, if harvested young, as green beans. Excellent for freezing. Produces a magnificent, very ornamental pink flower. The beans change colour depending on the temperature. When the pods ripen in cool weather, the beans turn blue; if they ripen in bright sun and heat, the beans will be grey-blue.
