Introduced in 1771, this heritage cultivar is still very popular today. It forms a rosette of tender, green, oak-leaf shaped leaves that have a mild sweet flavour. Pick as cut-and-grow-again. Resists bolting. Sow March to July, harvest July to September/October. Can usually be overwintered with some protection.
